November 16, 2017
Twenty-eight years ago, New Mexicans across the state answered the call to keep kids in New Mexico warm during the cold winter months. Now, a quarter century later, KOATs for Kids has grown to one of the most recognizable and successful charitable operations in the Land of Enchantment.
The 28th annual KOATs for Kids campaign kicks off Friday, November 24th and will run through Friday, January 5th, 2018.
KOAT 7 and Blake’s Lotaburger are gathering thousands of donated coats to be distributed across New Mexico to kids in need.
Since 1989, this statewide community service event sponsored by KOAT 7 has delivered approximately 300,000 coats to needy children. Every year, thanks to viewers and partners, we are able to help kids across the state.
